Credit Lending in Today’s Economy

The Gray-New Gloucester Business Association’s Breakfast Seminar, on Friday, May 22nd was held at Spring Meadows Banquet Center, Rt. 100 in Gray.  It was a perfect morning to get up early and enjoy a great breakfast at this lovely facility.

We had a great turnout of mostly members to hear what our speakers had to say about “Credit Lending in Today’s Economy”.  Alden Turner, a Senior Area Manager for the US Small Business Administration, told us about the many SBA’s Financing programs available for business. Chris Logan, Senior Vice President in the Commercial Lending Department of Androscoggin Bank reminded us on what a business needed to successfully acquire a loan at his bank and other entities while Dean Waterman, Vice President of Business Banking at Keybank gave us an overview of the economic market before and now, explained what are good business financial practices and what his bank considered a good credit risk. The audience listened attentively and had questions for the speakers after their presentations. Some good networking occurred throughout the morning and people really enjoyed themselves.

Thanks to our speakers, our sponsors: Lifetime Auto Care, Rt. 100, Gray and Gray-New Gloucester Gazette/MaineHometownNews.com  and the folks at Spring Meadows for helping to make this seminar a success.
